PalmRdr is being distributed as two different, but fully functional versions; a Free Developers Version for use ONLY for software development purposes, and a client version which must be licensed for each client machine. It is hoped that this will encourage widespread use of this product for development purposes, which in turn will give us a base of registered clients. The developer will never have to invest any money in this product, & when the developers product is released, the client will merely have to purchase copies of PalmRdr for each machine he uses it on. The Free Developers version will soon be available for download from this site, at which time the pricing for the client version will be posted.

This is, of course, based mainly on the honor system, with the following incentives; the Free Developers version will have a message prominently diplayed on all user interfaces stating that this software is intended solely for development purposes, and that any non-development use is prohibited. The client version will have the registered users name & serial number prominently displayed on all user interfaces to discourage passing copies around. These are merely incentives however, as neither version of PalmRdr is crippled in any way.

Full email support will be provided for all registered users of PalmRdr. FAQ's and limited email support will be provided for the Free Developers version.
